Golf+ adds Quail Hollow in time for Wells Fargo Championship

Golf+ released a playable VR version of the Quail Hollow Club, which will host the Wells Fargo Championship on May 6.Golf+
Golf+, the official VR game of the PGA Tour, has added Quail Hollow Club to its roster of courses. This comes just as Quail Hollow preps to host the Wells Fargo Championship, which starts on May 6 in Charlotte, N.C.

It’s the eighth PGA Tour course that Golf+ has added this season, giving the game 20 courses. The other seven 2024 additions have been Kapalua Golf (host of The Sentry); Pebble Beach Golf Links (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am); TPC Scottsdale (WM Phoenix Open); Riviera Country Club (Genesis Invitational); Bay Hill Club and Lodge (Arnold Palmer Invitational); TPC Sawgrass (The Players Championship); and Harbour Town Golf Links (RBC Heritage).

Golf+ president James Wright told SBJ that it plans to add Valhalla Golf Club and Muirfield Village Golf Club -- the hosts for the PGA Championship and The Memorial -- while also gearing up for the upcoming FedEx Cup Playoffs this summer. Wright also mentioned they added a blimp to the background scenery to enhance the game’s tournament feel.

The company won the Best in Extended Reality category at Sports Business Awards: Tech last month.
