CAA Selects Longtime Big East Exec Joe D'Antonio As Next Commissioner

The CAA on Tuesday named Big East Senior Associate Commissioner/Administration & NCAA Relations Joe D'Antonio as its new commissioner, according to Dave Johnson of the Hampton Roads DAILY PRESS. D'Antonio "spent 10 years" with the Big East, including the last five in his former role. Before that, he was Associate AD/Compliance & Administration at his alma mater, Providence College (Hampton Roads DAILY PRESS, 3/10). In Richmond, Vic Dorr Jr. notes D'Antonio replaces Tom Yeager, who will "formally retire June 30." D'Antonio's tenure "will begin July 1," while Yeager is "expected to remain with the league in an advisory capacity for the next year" (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 3/10).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
