Global sport and entertainment organization CSM has appointed a global advisory board to help steer and inform its performance and growth plans. The external members of the new CSM Global Advisory Board are:

MORE TRANSACTIONS: Adam & Eve/DDB Group Managing Dir XAVIER REES "is joining Havas London" as its CEO. Rees will report to CHRIS HIRST, who became the Europe CEO in September. Joining DDB U.K. in '10 as the managing partner, Rees "was promoted to the group managing director role two years ago following the agency’s merger with Adam & Eve." He "ran the Diageo and Volkswagen businesses" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 3/16). ... Former EPL side Sunderland CEO MARGARET BYRNE’s "has lost her seat on the FA Council and her place on a Premier League advisory panel" following criticism of her handling of the ADAM JOHNSON scandal. The 37-year-old former lawyer "had been seen as one of English football’s brightest prospects in the boardroom and was handed influential positions with both the FA and the Premier League." But her mishandling of the Johnson affair "means she is facing the end of her career in football and is expected to return to work in law" (London TELEGRAPH, 3/16).

FROM TRACK TO COURT: FIA Head of Strategic Partnerships MICHAEL TONGE will "take up a position as sponsorship director at the French Tennis Federation." Tonge, who has been with the FIA at its Geneva-based office for a year, "is to move to Paris to take on the role in May, in time for this year’s French Open at Roland Garros, where the FFT is based." He "has been responsible for developing and managing the FIA’s portfolio of commercial partners, which currently includes the likes of Michelin, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Rolex, Petronas and EDF" (SPORTCAL, 3/16). ... Kingstone Press Championship side Leigh Centurions confirmed the appointment of MATTHEW CHANTLER as its new CEO on a full-time basis. Chantler "will take up the position immediately and will also join the board of directors at the club." A practicing solicitor specializing in sports law "and a lifelong Leigh Centurions fan who lives locally, the 30-year-old has been acting as the club's legal advisor" (RUNNING RUGBY, 3/16). ... Rugby Football Union Head of Int'l Player Development JOE LYDON has left. Lydon arrived in Aug. '13 and "was responsible for managing the performance pathway and pipeline of international players for England Rugby." His remit of teams "included the Saxons, U20s, U18s, sevens, and the women’s senior, sevens and U20s teams" (RUNNING RUGBY, 3/16). ... National 1 outfit Darlington Mowden Park RFC "revealed the formation of a new board of directors featuring as many as eight directors in total." The new board of DMP Arena Trading Ltd. will include TONY COPSEY (non-exec director), ANDY PRESTON (non-exec director), PIERS MITCHELL (non-exec director), JOHN MCCULLAGH (non-exec director), MIKE KEELIGAN (chairman), DANIEL HUNTER (finance director), LEE RUST (managing director) and NORMAN JACKSON (advisor to the board) (RUNNING RUGBY, 3/17). ... Turkish side Galatasaray appointed JAN OLDE RIEKERINK as coach until the end of '15-16 football season (REUTERS, 3/17).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with Molly Solomon, who will lead NBC’s production of the Olympics, and she shares what the network is are planning for Paris 2024. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s P.K.
