Milan President Silvio Berlusconi Meeting With British Fund Looking For Minority Stake

Serie A side AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi reportedly met with a British fund "wanting to become a minority shareholder," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The Rossoneri owner is "looking for new investors and has been in negotiations" for the €480M ($543M) sale of a 48% stake in the club to Thai broker Bee Taechaubol since last summer. Gazzetta dello Sport reported that "other parties have shown interest in the San Siro club in the last few months" as Bee delays. On Monday, Berlusconi made his "first contact with members of a British fund who want to enter the club as minority." However, the outlet believes the Milan owner "to be more interested" in the Asian markets and said that there are "other oriental groups interested, one Chinese and one Chinese-American" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 3/17).
